Someone claiming to be gender blind is like someone claiming to be colour blind about race.
It is not only inaccurate, it also denies the importance of someone’s gender identity and denies the way their gender and gender identification and gender identification journey have shaped who they are. We are discriminated and celebrated because of parts of us and all those parts that we make part of our identity deserve to be respected.
