10 minute blog post for #lolyyc: 30 days of oh shit summer is over!

After a summer of patio beers and sunburn and almost nothing accomplished I had the brilliant idea to plan my most ambitious 30-day challenge yet for September. Because easing back into it was just ridiculous. The list was too big too fail (like a bank!), too varied to pull off in one month by one person and would be the kick off to my Most Ambitious Winter of Ever! I fell flat on my face. I might still have scratches from where I hit the pavement.

Part way through the month I realized my hubris and tried to edit down the list. Obviously I started by removing the most ambitious goals and checking off the small tasks that could be accomplished in a mad dash at the end of the month. Because I am a master of time management. Three-quarters through the month I was still way behind my (now revised list). This called for a beer! I knocked off a few more items on the list by half finishing them. Why post my finished work when it could sit unseen in my studio?

By the last week of September I was thinking toward my October challenge. I’m going to finish that list one of these days. And from now on I’m writing my 30-day challenges on undated Post Its.
